Marcos Masetti, self-taught theater and circus artist, was born in Tucumán, Argentina, on August 30th 1975.
In 2000, while studding his last year at the Tucumán Law School from Tucumán National University he decided to continue with his passion for circus art, launching the circus company “La Trapaceria”with other artists, later on called “Circlotimia Duo”.
In 2003, while travelling through different countries in Europe, he participated in the European Juggling Convention in Svenborg (Denmark) and in Barcelona (Spain) discovering his passion for balance. Afterwards, he dedicated to the study of the slack rope, which he deepened by attending classes and meetings with teachers from north European country’s circus schools.
After that, he discovered the infinite clown universe participating in different workshops with masters such as Pierre Byland, Loco Brusca, Jango Edwards, Jef Johnson, Cristine Rossignol and Michael Dallaire.
In 2008 he traveled to France where he studied the 2nd cycle of training of contemporary juggler with the FAAAC (with jugglers such as Stefan Sing, Andre Thierry, and Iris among others) and with whom he shared the Working Progress Arts Meeting in Poland in 2009.
Currently and since 2005 he lives in Turin where he works and collaborates in several projects, including “Il variete della caduta” with the Teatro della Caduta, ASKABARE, itinerant variete, and he plays his shows “Darme Cuerda”(Winner of the Busker Contest of Theater ann Twater Festival 2019 (Belgium) and the fresh and new one “Slam Dunk” in different festivals and countries around the world.
